On Thursday, May 3, Sharon and Ed made an appearance on Q&A, a talk show that highlights people and events that affect the community in the Bay Area. Host Roy Avila was interested in talking about Camp Edventure More, which is located in Marin, San Francisco and the East Bay, and also our school year program which moved down the Peninsula and next year will be in classrooms down south as well.
Here you can see Sharon showing Roy some slime that Ed made which is one of the things kids do at camp and in the classroom. Slime is made from a chemical reaction. When a chemical reaction occurs, the elements combined create a whole new product, and those elements cannot be separated again. For that reason, a chemical reaction is different from a mixture, in which the elements can be separated again.
Sharon listens closely as Ed talks about why they started Camp Edventure More and what it means to him to be involved in an enrichment camp for kids. They both agree they have the best job in the world!
