Moraga Gets Ready For Camp!

The counselors and instructors can't wait to get started on the fun science, art and recreation activities they have planned for camp next week. One of the most excited is the camp director, Shiva Sarabi. Here's a bit about Shiva and what she has to say about camp.

Shiva moved from Dallas, Texas to California in August 2003 to pursue her education in social science. She graduated from UC Berkeley in May 2005 with a degree in Anthropology and has devoted the last 10 years of her life working with children of all ages and backgrounds. Currently, she is co-running a non profit organization in the East Bay that works with local after school programs and the parks and recreation district to expand and enhance services in the community. She also serves on a grant committee and has devoted much of her time to grant writing and finding various sources of funding to support the programs offered by the organization. She has a passion for making change and brightening futures! In her free time she enjoys traveling, laughing, singing, dancing, frequenting cafes and bookstores, and connecting with family and friends.

“I feel honored to be a part of such a great team! I look forward to sharing my enthusiasm with all of you and cannot wait to have a blast this summer! Let’s make it a summer to remember!”
